I chose to start my install by mounting the brackets for the reservoirs. The Bilstein instructions are thorough but do not account for all situations. The holes on the curb side are all 10mm through and will require the threaded inserts. Bilstein provides all the needed hardware and a good explanation on how to go about the process. I have the Magna flow cat back exhaust so it was a tight fit but doable. On the driver side the threaded holes described are occupied by the compressor for the air ride suspension. I am doing the air bag delete and intended to remove the compressor but everything I’ve read say to leave it to avoid a code. My work around was to mount the bracket on the bottom of the frame rail in two threaded holes that hold on the trailer hitch. The hitch provides some protection. The holes are a little closer together in the mounting bracket than the hitch frame so I elongated the about 8mm in each direction with a drill and flat file. I will attempt to upload some photos. I’m 77 with shaky hands and bad vision and it was still a pretty easy install. Review the instructions and take your time and you’ll be happy with the results.
